We are looking for a detail-driven and motivated Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This position will support the finance team in a variety of accounting tasks while ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and maintain accurate general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare financial statements and reports for management review.
- Review accounting transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Help prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
- Work with external auditors during audits and assist in preparing necessary documents.
- Keep financial records up to date and ensure proper filing systems are maintained.
- Suggest and implement improvements to streamline accounting procedures.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience:
- Strong background in accounting with a deep understanding of accounting principles.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience preferred.
- Experience in healthcare accounting is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Knowledge of accounting regulations, financial reporting, and tax laws.
