A dynamic and growing real estate company in Miami, Florida is seeking a Staff Accountant to focus on financial reporting, month-end closing, general ledger reconciliation, and cash management. This role will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial information, collaborating with property management teams, and providing insights for key stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with a solid accounting foundation, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for meeting deadlines in a collaborative environment.

Staff Accountant Responsibilities:
  • Perform month-end closing tasks, including reconciliations, adjustments, and reporting to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve financial and operational reporting matters
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, budgets, and supporting schedules for audits and year-end processes
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and control accounts while managing subsidiary ledgers
  • Record and analyze financial transactions, including journal entries, trustee activity, and bank charges
  • Monitor cash flow, prepare working capital reports, and manage requisitions for debt service, distributions, and fees
  • Analyze accounts to ensure funding compliance and process financial reporting and draw submissions

Staff Accountant Requirements:
  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting
  • 2-5 years of experience in a staff accountant role
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and accounting systems
  • Strong understanding of the accounting cycle and ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in property management or real estate development is preferred, but not required
  • Familiarity with YARDI and Timberline systems is a plus
