Work Schedule: 35 hours per week, Regular, Full Time

Pay Type: $70,000 - $75,000 Exempt, annual salary + benefits package

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 3-5 years grant accounting experience
  • Must have strong written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Nonprofit experience a plus
  • Familiarity with Blackbaud accounting software a plus but not required

Responsibilities:

  • Reports to Assistant Grants Manager
  • Primarily manage the Arts Center cost centers and overall budget
  • Monthly grants claim for other NYC or NYS funded grants, as assigned
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual claims to funding agencies on a timely basis
  • Request for advances from funding agencies
  • Follow up on collection of Accounts Receivable claims
  • Prepare proof of claims for each claim and reconcile to general ledger
  • Assist program personnel with budget modifications
  • Prepare budgets and budget modifications
  • Prepare journal entries
  • Reconcile monthly cash advances
  • Review and code program personnel forms
  • Communicate with program directors for monthly fiscal management of programs and comparisons of actual to matrix and budgeted spending
  • Communicate with the Development Office for submission of Arts financial reports as needed
  • Prepare year-end audit analyses for programs
  • Other duties and special projects as determined by Budget and Grants Manager or Asst Grants Manager
