Job Description
Accountant Responsibilities:
- Assist the Division Controller in the month-end close process, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other financial reports.
- Ensure accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and timely submission to management and corporate headquarters.
- Establish and maintain effective internal control processes to safeguard assets, ensure compliance with company policies, and prevent fraud. Conduct periodic internal audits as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting principles (e.g., Generally Accepted Accounting Principles - GAAP), and corporate policies.
- Reconcile inventory accounts between the general ledger and physical counts.
- Prepare and present inventory-related financial reports to senior management, including analysis of inventory turnover, gross margins, and other key metrics.
- Collaborate with the purchasing, operations, and sales teams to ensure inventory levels are properly managed and aligned with financial records.

The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA strongly preferred
- 3+ years of experience in Accounting
- Manufacturing, distribution, or related industry experience preferred
- Cost/Inventory experience a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge
- Knowledge of GAAP
- SAP system experience preferred
