Century Group has a great opportunity for a Grant Accountant to join a wonderful non-profit organization in Los Angeles. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $78,000 to $85,000 per year.

Job Description:
- Responsible for Contract, Fund and/or Departmental budgets, expenditures, invoices, financial reports
- Resolves disallowed costs
- Responsible for accruals, collections, reconciliations, maximizing indirect cost formulas and cost allocation
- Monitors progress of special assignments
- Prepares journal entries
- Perform closing procedures including bank and fund reconciliations to cost reports
- Prepare various annual and other business reports and returns
- Maintain fixed asset records and run depreciation reports
- Review and verify supportive documentation for business transactions
- Participate in all departmental meetings as requested
- Work with other departments or staff members to prepare program/contract budgets
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
- Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
- Ability to accurately sort, check, count and verify numbers.
- Strong data entry and 10-key by touch abilities
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Full knowledge of Sage Intacct accounting software. Knowledge of Yardi is a plus.
- 5 years of progressively responsible accounting experience in a non-profit accounting environment
