Staff Accountant

My name is Ana, and I am a Recruiter with The Fountain Group. We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Staff Accountant for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Frisco, TX. Details for the position are as follows:

Temp (6 months) to Permanent opportunity. Pay range is $26/hr. Fully Onsite.
Job Description:

• Help drive efficiency and consistency in key accounting areas across all DSD regions partnering with respective business, IT, and other finance colleagues: Recording driver over short entries. Recording accruals and reclass entries (Eskers, Aramark, Reserve Liability, Misc. Accruals, etc.). Prepare the FX entries and post to the DSD ledger.
• Actively participate in key strategic projects (i.e., Sales Clearing) providing analysis and support as required.
• Prepare account reconciliations for assigned accounts ensuring proper accounting and resolution/escalation of reconciling items according to published guidelines.
• Ensure respective SOX and internal controls are maintained/complied as designed; highlighting any relevant risk identified.
• Prepare/provide supporting documentation for external and internal audit Prepared by Client (PBC) requests as needed.
• Identify and highlight efficiencies in the field accounting processes and monthly/quarterly closes.

Qualifications:

• Seeking relevant accounting experience. Solid accounting knowledge and strong analytical skills.
• MUST HAVE SAP experience and Strong excel skills.
• Bachelors degree required.
• Month end close and reconciliation experience is a huge plus.
