The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing the general accounting functions of Rancho Health MSO, Inc. and its affiliates. Responsibilities for general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts and financial statements, such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, and cash flow schedules. In addition, the Senior Accountant prepares, records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance within accepted accounting policies and principles.

Responsibilities for general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts and financial statements, such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, and cash flow schedules. In addition, the Senior Accountant prepares, records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance within accepted accounting policies and principles.

- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Participates in month end close process to ensure transactions are recorded timely, accurately and in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Prepares monthly journal entries and documents all work in the general ledger to provide a reliable audit trail.
- Prepares monthly balance sheet and expense account reconciliations, which includes researching and resolving reconciling items, as well as documenting and evaluating current procedures, recommending process improvements for continuous improvement.
- Backup support for Payroll.
- Demonstrates initiative in understanding process flows and controls.
- Protecting the organization's value by keeping information confidential.

Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required:
- A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
Minimum Experience Required:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting.
- Healthcare experience is preferred.
Minimum Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Advanced Excel skills required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general office equipment.
- Ability to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strict attention to detail and learn new applications.
- Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve complex issues independently, in a timely manner.?
- Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal and must have the ability to communicate effectively across all management and functional levels.?
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize urgent needs and meet deadlines.?
- Able to work independently as well as with a team.
- Use specialized knowledge to complete accounting activities including general ledger and financial statements. Prepare, record, and analyze reports, providing findings and outcomes.
- Must be able to exercise discretion, sound judgment, tact, and diplomacy in all communications, due to the exposure to highly sensitive and confidential information.?
