Missouri State University School of Accountancy (SOA), which is separately accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), invites applications for a Clinical Accounting Professor, tenure-track Assistant Professor, or tenure-track Associate Professor position, commencing Fall 2025. We will post a Clinical Assistant Professor, Assistant Professor, and Associate Professor, only one position will be filled. The successful candidate will teach at the undergraduate and graduate level in tax accounting. The teaching modalities may include online, blended, or face to face. The successful candidate must demonstrate the potential to meet the requisite AACSB’s academic faculty qualification status and will be expected to provide service to the SOA, College of Business, University, accounting profession, and community.

Candidates for the Clinical position requires a Master’s in Accounting or Business Administration from an AACSB-accredited institution with 18-graduate credit hours in an accounting, 6+ years of professional accounting experience ending at a supervisory level, and an accounting certification. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to working in diverse environments and/or with students from diverse background.

Candidates for the Assistant position must hold a PhD in Accounting or Business Administration from an AACSB accredited institution with an emphasis in an accounting related field. Candidates who are ABD at time of application will be considered, but only if in position to successfully defend their dissertation by the date of employment. Candidates must have a demonstrated track record or show an ability to publish in peer-reviewed accounting journals and have university teaching experience. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to working in diverse environments and/or with students from diverse background.
