The School of Accountancy in the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University invites applications for one Clinical Professor position (Open Rank) commencing Fall 2025.
Essential Functions. The candidate must contribute to the School of Accountancy’s mission in the areas of research, teaching, curriculum development, and service. The candidate will participate in the school and the university’s service activities, supervise student organizations, teach undergraduate and/or graduate level courses in-person and/or online, and contribute to the scholarly activities of the School.
Required Qualifications.
Clinical Assistant Professor – 1) An earned doctorate in business administration or a closely related field, and 2) Potential for or demonstrated excellence in teaching accounting courses at the university level as evidenced by organization and communication skills.
Clinical Associate Professor – 1) An earned doctorate in business administration or a closely related field, 2) The equivalent of 5 years of full-time teaching experience in higher education including a significant amount at a four-year institution, and 3) Demonstrated excellence in teaching a diverse set of accounting courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate level as evidenced by good teaching evaluations, course innovation, organization, and communication skills.
Clinical Full Professor – 1) An earned doctorate in business administration or a closely related field, 2) The equivalent of 7 years of full-time teaching experience in higher education including a significant amount at a four-year institution, 3) Sustained, long-term excellence in teaching a diverse set of accounting courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate level as evidenced by good teaching evaluations, course innovation, organization and communication skills, and 4) Demonstrated leadership in curriculum development and service roles related to teaching.
Desired Qualifications. 1) The ability to teach courses in a broad range of topical areas, including tax, audit, data analytics, financial, and/or managerial accounting, 2) Potential for or demonstrated excellence in curriculum development and service, 3) Potential for or demonstrated experience with online teaching modalities, 4) Teaching experience at an AACSB-accredited institution, 5) Potential for or demonstrated engagement with the accounting profession, 6) Research publications in accounting or a related field, 7) CPA certification or other related professional certification, and 8) AACSB faculty qualification as a scholarly academic (SA).
