Job Description
The Operations Compliance Sr. Accountant will be a major contributor to ensuring Global Medical Affair is compliant and meets audit requirements in working with third-party suppliers. You will develop and implement oversight procedures to enhance the transparency and review of third-party activities and related expenses for services performed on Takeda's behalf. This position reports to the Head, Business Operations.

U.S. Base Salary Range:
96 800.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. Job Description
The Operations Compliance Sr. Accountant will be a major contributor to ensuring Global Medical Affair is compliant and meets audit requirements in working with third-party suppliers. You will develop and implement oversight procedures to enhance the transparency and review of third-party activities and related expenses for services performed on Takeda's behalf. This position reports to the Head, Business Operations.
How you will contribute:
- Plan and schedule monthly meetings with Global Medical Affairs Business Owners to review third-party supplier invoices, instruct Business Owners to approve or not approve invoices.
- Analyze contracted services fees and expenses to ensure invoices are in alignment with work completed and expenses are within timeframe and have appropriate detailed documentation.
- Work with Business Owners to resolve issues or missing documentation.
- Train Business Owners on how to collect appropriate documents from suppliers.
- Train Business Owners on appropriate invoice approval guidelines.
- Solve invoice issues with Business Owner and Supplier.
- Manage and report on status of open invoices and action items.
- Maintain expert knowledge of all relevant policies and systems.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Accounting or Business.
- Must have 5 years of relevant experience within a global company.
- Experience with financial and operational audits.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and SOX internal controls and financial management processes and systems.
