JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team in a hybrid capacity, supporting both onsite and remote work environments. This role will involve daily reconciliation of the general ledger, assisting in the maintenance of General Ledger Accounts, and contributing to various accounting transactions to support the department's operations. The ideal candidate will be a recent college graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics, and possess a minimum of 6-12 months of accounting-related experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reconcile the general ledger daily by reviewing reports, posting entries, and managing financial documents.
Maintain accurate balance of General Ledger Accounts aligned with the Credit Union's reports.
Execute monthly/daily bank account reconciliations and general ledger postings or adjustments.
Support the Accounts Payable function including validating transactions and managing AP checks.
Provide timely analysis as needed and perform diverse accounting transactions for day-to-day operations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, IF functions).
Solid understanding of accounting principles and general ledger management.
Recent graduate with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics & related experience.
Industry Experience: Open to recent graduates with Accounting/Finance/Economics backgrounds, ideally with some experience in the financial services or insurance industry, but not mandatory.
This position is a hybrid role requiring a mix between onsite work in Burbank, CA, and remote work, adhering to a flexible yet innovative working environment.
