Bryant University seeks to fill a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Accounting Department. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, to scholarly research, and to departmental and University service. While we welcome applications from candidates in all areas of accounting, the ideal candidate will have a background in Analytics/Emergent Technologies and/or Taxation.
Preferred starting date: August 1, 2025. Salary is commensurate with preparation, experience, and demonstrated performance, and consistent with AACSB salary levels.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses
- Helping to enhance departmental programs and curriculum through developing and teaching new courses.
- Advising students at all levels of the department’s curriculum.
- Assisting students with research or other relevant projects.
- Developing and pursuing an active program of research consistent with AACSB standards.
- Participating in appropriate service to the department, the college, and the university at large.
Qualifications: Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Accounting from an AACSB-International or EQUIS accredited institution. ABD with completion expected by mid-July 2025 will be considered.
Candidates should be committed to teaching excellence, establishing a scholarly publication record consistent with AACSB standards, and serving as an active member of the Bryant community. A demonstrated capacity to conduct research that speaks to both academic and managerial audiences is highly desirable. The successful candidate must be able to teach courses at both the undergraduate (BSBA and BSIB) and graduate (MBA) level.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the potential, as their career progresses, to conduct a variety of scholarly activities that support research and teaching. For example, building new programs, writing research grants, establishing connections with the business community and alumni, and developing new courses, along with service activities that include designing, participating in and leading new initiatives, mentoring students, and being an active participant in departmental and institutional activities.

The Accounting Department consists of 12 tenure-track faculty and two non-tenure track faculty members. The Accounting Department is highly ranked, and has dedicated faculty resources. Students interested in Accounting have a choice of public accounting track or Managerial Accounting and Finance track.
