Need candidate on W2 (H4EAD/ L2EAD/ OPT EAD) will work also
Overview: We are looking for a Data Analyst to play a critical role in a large-scale data migration project from Oracle to Snowflake. The ideal candidate will conduct due diligence, lead discovery efforts, and support the project team in analyzing and preparing data for migration across 93 applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive due diligence to evaluate existing Oracle database schemas, data quality, and business rules.
Lead discovery sessions with stakeholders to gather detailed requirements and document data sources and flows.
Analyze and map data from Oracle to Snowflake, identifying transformation needs and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Collaborate with the project team to develop data migration strategies and timelines.
Create and maintain documentation, including data dictionaries, mapping documents, and process flows.
Identify data quality issues and work with teams to develop solutions for cleansing and validating data.
Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to inform project decisions.
Support the team in testing and validating migrated data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Communicate findings and project updates to stakeholders and management effectively.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience as a Data Analyst, especially in data migration or transformation projects.
Strong knowledge of Oracle databases and familiarity with Snowflake or other cloud data warehousing solutions.
Proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, Tableau).
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks is a plus.
