Overview:
GDC IT Solutions is looking for a SAP BRIM Data Analyst. This is a fully remote opportunity, with occasional travel to Middletown, PA.
Position Overview:
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled SAP BRIM Data Analyst with strong expertise in data analysis, data migration, and SAP BRIM components. This role involves understanding and transforming legacy data, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with various stakeholders to facilitate successful data migration to SAP BRIM.
Responsibilities:
Analyze source data and query legacy systems using strong SQL and PL-SQL skills to ensure accurate data extraction.
Merge data from multiple sources and prepare it for loading into target systems.
Collaborate with the Microsoft Dynamics Specialist to develop and maintain an overall target system data dictionary.
Transform and load data from legacy systems into SAP BRIM, specifically across components including SAP S/4HANA (Subscription Order Management, Convergent Invoicing, Financial Contract Accounting, Banking, Sales & Distribution, Materials Management), Convergent Mediation, and Convergent Charging.
Analyze legacy system data structures and extract both structured and unstructured data from various sources.
Perform source-to-target mapping to align data fields from legacy systems with SAP BRIM data structures.
Define, develop, and maintain business rules and cross-referencing tables to ensure consistent data processing.
Transform data utilizing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools, including SAP BODS, ADMM, and MS SQL Server.
Cleanse and validate data to maintain accuracy and consistency throughout the migration process.
Implement data masking or hashing techniques to protect Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in lower environments.
Plan and oversee detailed schedules, tracking progress against established milestones for data migration activities.
Execute delta loads for high-volume transformed data into SAP BRIM using standard migration tools, minimizing system downtime.
Validate data integrity post-migration and resolve any discrepancies in the data sets.
Conduct high-volume data reconciliation for both technical verification and business validation purposes.
Work closely with functional consultants, business analysts, and technical teams to ensure seamless integration and migration processes.
Participate in data migration workshops, offering expertise and insights to drive project success.
Document data migration processes, mappings, and validation rules for future reference.
Create comprehensive data migration runbooks to streamline future migration efforts.
Develop and maintain productive working relationships with technology staff, business owners, project sponsors, vendors, and key clients.
Lead and actively participate in project team activities related to enterprise system work efforts.
Work independently to accomplish assigned tasks and duties effectively.
Adhere to all company standards, policies, and procedures related to project management and data governance.
Utilize various software and technology tools to execute job responsibilities effectively.
Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in SAP BRIM or similar environments.
Strong proficiency in SQL and PL-SQL.
Experience with data transformation and ETL tools, specifically SAP BODS and MS SQL Server.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

5 years' experience as an SAP BRIM Data Specialist/Engineer/Analyst in SAP S/4HANA hosted in Azure cloud (8+ years preferred).
Experience on at least 2 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementations, migrating extremely high volumes of data (15+ million customer records and 1+ billion transactions).
5 years of using BODS for transformation and loading data into SAP, with the ability to load into non-SAP systems being highly desirable.
Data Migration:
Experience migrating closed transactions to recreate historic customer information in SAP S/4HANA to facilitate dispute resolution for customers.
Technical Skills:
Strong expert-level PL-SQL and SQL skills required.
Education:
Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be accepted.
Preferred Skills
Industry Experience:
Tolling experience is preferred.
Experience in migrating data in systems leveraging Microsoft Dynamics as the CRM engine integrated with SAP S/4HANA as the backend is highly desired.
Software Proficiency:
Proficient in the Microsoft Office 365 suite of business software, including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Proficient in Microsoft ADO Testing Module.
Additional Skills:
Familiarity with Enterprise Business Solutions, specifically SAP projects.
Knowledge of ITIL / ITSM practices and methodologies.
