Overview:
The Sr. Corporate Accountant performs various technical accounting functions and analytical reviews of for a designated accounting area. This position also helps the business unit achieve goals, anticipate needs and resolve problems.
Responsibilities:
Support Month end and year end closing
Provide financial status information by preparing special reports, completing special projects
Take charge and coordinates external audits
Analyze data for the purpose of supporting business decision-making
Introduce and develop new procedures to improve the accounting process
Engage and analyze the company's working capital and cash flow
Manage intercompany reconciliations monthly
Reconcile general ledger accounts and post correcting entries
Conduct training for new and existing staff in related departments
Create a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manual for accounting policy and regulations, and roll out procedures
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications
Avoid legal challenges by complying with legal requirements
Maintain accounting controls by following policies and procedures, complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required, with a concentration in Business, Accounting or Finance; CPA / CMA a plus.
5+ yrs. of accounting experience
Experience with an ERP system required, SAP experience a plus
Advanced skills in MS Excel Required
Experience with One Stream a plus
Experience with Blackline a plus
