Job Description About This Job: Join BAE Systems' Intelligence and Security Sector and become part of a team supporting the U.S. Navy's Strategic Deterrent Submarine Force creating preventive maintenance plans and evaluates the effectiveness of the preventive maintenance program. The Preventive Maintenance Team, one of our keystone Strategic Systems Programs business', is seeking to fill an immediate need for a Data Analyst. The selected candidate will be paired with the Preventive Maintenance Subject Matter Expert (SME) developing Preventive Maintenance Management Program (PMMP) plans and evaluates accomplishment of planned preventive maintenance jobs. Collected accomplished preventive maintenance job data analysis contributes to engineering decisions on equipment maintenance requirements, job planned periodicity accuracy, and extracts equipment hardware trends requiring deeper analysis. Requests for additional data involve technical branch stakeholders and business partners for the problem being analyzed. In this position you will create PowerPoint presentations, and reports explaining your findings with recommendations to government officials and managers. Your Role In This Position:
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in accomplished job data per activity to draw conclusions for managerial actions and strategy
Develops appropriate methodologies for collecting, analyzing, and presenting data findings developed from information gathered from a variety of data sources such as pivot tables
Work with Preventive Maintenance SME and government program manager to develop Engineering Section Head data analysis reports with visualization
Communicates frequently and effectively aiding in interpreting job completion data within Strategic System Programs maintenance philosophy identifying performance impacts with team members, managers, and stakeholders
Points out system or process problems when noticed and engages teammates in problem solving
Coordinates with section supervisor to define and improve analysis processes, and procedures
Creates and develops initiatives to improve performance and productivity developing preventive maintenance plans
Updates PMMP Plan Oracle Database, extracting inputs submitted by contractors entered in PMMP EUI software tool
Test and verify PMMP Oracle System functionality for SSBN and SSGN preventive maintenance jobs
Evaluate application requirements for updates to Maintenance Applications (MA) PMMP software tool
Administer updates, verification, and testing of PMMP EUI software tool (PERL Software)
Functioning as required with virtual teammates collaborating to meet strict analysis timelines Required Education, Experience, & Skills Typical education and years of related/relevant work experience required: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics and at least four years of related/relevant work experience or equivalent education and years of related/relevant work experience. Additional skills/experience required: Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail with high accuracy
Proven working experience as a Data Analyst
Proficient in documenting findings in written reports and presentations
Strong understanding of statistical analysis
Familiarity with data manipulation
Thrive in interdependent work relationships

Active Listener Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Proficient using query languages such as SQL, Pandas
Knowledge of data modeling and schema design

Full-Time Salary Range: $92290 - $156860 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
