Description
Our Client a leading and well know Hamptons service company, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join it's accounting team. The company offers an opportunity for advancement, a strong benefits package and a balanced work life balance. The responsibilities include:
Preparation of financial statements.
Preparation of and analysis of income statement account analyses
Prepare monthly and quarterly balance sheet analyses.
Produce monthly analysis of P&L and B/S accounts.
Monthly financial forecasts and income statement
Perform corporate consolidations and inter-company reconciliations.
Prepare consolidation elimination entries.
Maintain consolidated reporting spreadsheets.
Assistance with daily cash reporting
Balance sheet and cash flow
Analyze G&A expense accounts and prepare or review accrual journal entries as appropriate.
Participate in the month end close process, close the books for the month, analyze results, and ensure accuracy.
Participate in Monthly, Quarterly and Annual closes.
Month end close for all entities.
Handling allocations and approvals in Accounts Payable and General Ledger systems
Compile purchase and sales statistics.
Providing interpretation, application, and evaluation of financial policies
Work on a variety of projects, ad-hoc special projects and reports.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting; or a bachelor's degree in Business, with an emphasis in Accounting required.
4+ years' experience in accounting or related field
Strong Microsoft Excel skills a must
Self-starter with ability to work under limited supervision.
