Staff Accountant
FULL-TIME
-Supports the Controller with preparing monthly financial statements.
-Ensures compliance with accounting principles and maintains the general ledger.
-Prepares month-end closing entries and reconciles various financial accounts (e.g., payroll, accruals, bank accounts).
-Verifies accuracy of accounts payable expenses and works with procurement for proper account recording.
-Performs cost accounting, analyzing manufacturing variances, and explaining monthly budget and forecast differences.
-Tracks and reports departmental costs, collaborating with managers for accurate forecasts.
-Assists with automating accounting processes and filing tax forms.
-Supports the annual audit by gathering necessary information and documentation.
-Performs additional duties as needed.
-This is not a supervisory role but may serve as back-up in the absence of the Controller.
This position is salaried compensation with a annual bonus tied to company performance.

Qualifications
Must pass drug screen
Must pass background check
Can lift 5 lbs
Must be at least 18+ years old
At least 5+ years of Finance/Accounting experience
Bachelor's Degree - Accounting, Finance, Related
Experience working in ERP software packages and accounting software.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, V-Lookup, SUMIF).
Knowledge of general accounting and cost accounting to ensure compliance with GAAP.
One (1) year of relevant experience in manufacturing or distribution environment is preferred.
