Exciting opportunity to join a growing commercial real estate firm in a role that will expose you to all facets of the business including leasing, financing, fund raising, accounting, acquisitions, and legal
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Property Accountant is responsible for the timely and accurate financial reporting of assigned properties, working directly with Property Operations, responding timely and professionally to supervisors, external parties, and senior leadership, and maintaining flexibility for ad-hoc projects that benefit the operations of the company.
Accounts Receivable:
• Receive, deposit, and post deposits to tenants' accounts in the accounting software
• Input new leases & renewals and billing adjustments into the accounting software
Accounts Payable:
• Review and Input invoices into accounting software and cut weekly checks due
• Calculate and process management fees
Financials/GL:
• Review and complete quarterly and monthly reports including the monthly cash flow report
• Perform quarterly or annual CTI (CAM, Tax, Insurance) reconciliations
Miscellaneous:
• Assists with training and closing properties for Jr
Property Accountants
• Assist with audits and additional reports needed by owners
• Executes special ad-hoc projects as designated by managers on an ongoing basis
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 5 minimum years of Retail Property Accounting Experience required
• CAM experience required
