Key Responsibilities of the Project Accounting Manager:
- Collaborate closely with project managers to ensure the financial and administrative accuracy of projects, including monthly invoicing aligned with contract requirements.
- Set up billing processes, track project progress, and handle project closeouts efficiently.
- Coordinate consultant invoices and payments in accordance with established agreements.
- Maintain and audit contract files, ensuring compliance with guidelines.
- Ensure project costs are accurately recorded; make necessary labor and expense adjustments.
- Review and process project budgets, vendor proposals, change orders, and invoices within the financial system.
- Professionally and promptly address inquiries from clients, consultants, and internal teams.
- Assist with month-end and year-end reporting and reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
Preferred Qualifications of the Project Accounting Manager:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
- Strong proficiency with financial systems and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in construction, design, or project cost accounting is a plus.
