Staff Accountant

Location: Mahopac, NY
Work modality: Hybrid
Compensation: $60,000-70,000 (depending on experience)

They've partnered with CFS to bring on a Staff Accountant - you'll play a vital role in our dynamic accounting and operations team.

• Dive into day-to-day activities, managing payroll and accounts payable processes.
• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to enhance practices as we scale.

What you'll do:

• Assist with the daily operations of the accounting department including:
  • Month and year-end closing activities
  • Accounts payable/receivable
  • Cash receipts
  • Payroll and expense reconciliation
  • Check runs

What we are looking for:

• Proven working experience in accounting - minimum of one year of general ledger accounting experience
• Experience working efficiently in at least one accounting software, preferably QuickBooks Desktop
• Experience with MS Excel or Google Sheets
• Knowledge of accounting principles
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related business field
