We are seeking a Leveraged Finance Credit Analyst to join our investment team.
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Source and develop primary and secondary investment ideas using a bottom-up fundamental investment approach
Conduct comprehensive analysis of the companies under coverage
Evaluate management, perform sector analysis to understand the firm's competitive position within the sector, with other focus areas to include volatility of and ability to generate free cash flow, quality of assets and asset coverage, deal structure and covenant analysis
Generate detailed financial models.
Produce detailed investment memo.
Continuously monitor assigned sectors on an ongoing basis
Conduct sophisticated financial analysis and relevant industry search
Draft internal memorandum on investments, company reports, and investment committee materials
Work with legal, financial and accounting advisors on process management and diligence
Structure transactions, assist with closing deals and negotiations
Requirements
3-4 years leveraged finance desk experience.
MBA or CFA a plus
Strong quantitative and qualitative skills
Strong modeling skills and the ability to think flexibility and analyze a variety of situations
Undergraduate degree from a top institution, with a record of academic achievement - US GPA minimum requirement of 3.5
Experience of training program at top sell side bank, preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work well with others
