Salary Range: $58,240 - $68,640 DOE

Key Responsibilities:

As a Payroll/Staff Accountant, you will play a vital role in managing both union and non-union payroll processing, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. This position also involves assisting with HR and benefits administration, making journal entries (JE), managing the general ledger (GL), and performing account reconciliations. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will be essential as you support the organization's financial operations.

Overview of the Payroll/Staff Accountant role:
  • Manage full-cycle payroll for both union and non-union employees.
  • Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time, in compliance with both union and non-union requirements.
  • Assist the HR department in benefits administration, ensuring employee satisfaction and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare journal entries, manage the general ledger, and perform account reconciliations.

Preferred Qualifications for the Payroll/Staff Accountant:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Prior experience with payroll processing is required.
  • Experience working within a nonprofit organization is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Paycom and MIP software is highly desirable.
