About the Company

Our client is a leading player in their industry, having achieved significant growth through several successful acquisitions. They are currently implementing NetSuite and are seeking a seasoned professional to assist with this transition and the financial integration of newly acquired companies.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in Mahopac, NY. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing accounting activities across multiple locations, with a focus on NetSuite implementation and financial integration of newly acquired companies.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

• Manage monthly and year-end closing activities
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes
• Conduct financial analysis and prepare reports for management
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements

NetSuite Implementation

• Play a key role in the transition to NetSuite
• Assist in system configuration and data migration
• Develop and implement new accounting processes leveraging NetSuite capabilities
• Train staff on new procedures and best practices

Acquisition Integration

• Lead the financial integration of newly acquired companies
• Harmonize accounting practices across the organization
• Develop standardized reporting and consolidation processes
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior role
• Strong knowledge of NetSuite or similar ERP systems
• Experience with financial integration of acquired companies
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong leadership and communication abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
