Senior Cost Accountant Role with Rapidly Growing Company This Senior Cost Accountant is a key member of our Accounting and Finance Team to ensure accounting and operations are executed well so all financial transactions and information is validated and verified. This Senior Cost Accountant Role will have diverse responsibilities including: reconciling account balances, assisting in maintaining the general ledger; preparing month-end close procedures and financial states; analyzing financial statements; and work on special projects as assigned. This role requires excellent organizational and analytical skills and should process a thorough understanding of accounting principles and the ability to prepare and analyze financial reports and forecasts, and work well in a team with a collaborative approach with internal partner and external partners.

Responsibilities of the Senior Cost Accountant Role
- Provide key support and preparation for month-end close process
- Analyze key accounts, financial statements and performance of certain operating units
- Prepare payroll journal entries and perform payroll reconciliations
- Maintain fixed asset database and record associated journal entries
- Record and reconcile intercompany activity
- Reconcile accounts receivable and record associated journal entries
- Liaise with auditors
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting processes and systems
- Provide key support to annual budget process
- Ensure compliance with GAAP
- Backup for cash management duties
- Assist in preparation of sales tax and other compliance returns
- Contribute to due diligence review and onboarding of acquisitions
- Tackle special projects as they arise
- Collaborate particularly with Human Resources and Operations teams
Requirements of the Senior Cost Accountant
- Bachelor degree in accounting or finance
- Proven experience as an accounting professional
- CPA/MBA a plus
- Manufacturing company experience and cost accounting experience
- Familiarity with different POS and financial reporting systems and excellent Microsoft Office skills
- An analytical mind and good data extraction and report writing skills
