Senior Inventory Accountant

An Exciting Senior Inventory Accountant Opportunity in Stamford

This is a newly created role due to rapid growth at a family-owned business operating in an exciting industry. The company has doubled in size recently and is in high-growth mode, presenting an excellent opportunity for an Senior Inventory Accountant to join a collegial work environment with flexible hours and room for career advancement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting transactions related to inventory cycles, including transfers, receiving, vendor billing, landed costs, assembly builds, and adjustments
• Review and ensure accuracy of Bills of Materials and inventory pricing in NetSuite
• Reconcile inventory with plant locations, investigate discrepancies
• Perform month-end reconciliation for inventory-related general ledger accounts like In-Transit, Accrued Purchases, and Landed Costs
• Prepare TTB reporting and tax compliance documents
• Develop custom inventory reports as needed
• Support other ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance (preferred)
• At least 3 years of relevant experience, with inventory accounting exposure
• Strong understanding of inventory, sales orders, and purchase orders
• Warehouse/manufacturing experience (preferred)
• Prior experience with NetSuite ERP (a plus)
