Senior Accountant
CFS has partnered with a company based in Westchester, NY to help identify their new Senior Reporting Accountant. This person will ensure that transactions are properly accounted for, and disclosed under GAAP, SEC guidelines, and SOX.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyze SEC filings (Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K) with XBRL tagging, Press Release, Supplemental Report, and any other ad-hoc reporting forms that may be required.
  • Collaborate with Investor Relations, FP&A, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy of external reporting deliverables.
  • Conduct research on technical GAAP accounting issues and material business issues and prepare well-written memoranda ensuring the appropriate accounting conclusions are reached.
  • Provide schedules and support for internal quarterly financial statement reporting package.
  • Ensure compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Interact and coordinate with internal audit team.
  • Assist with the implementation of Climate Disclosure Rules.
  • Build and sustain relationships with cross functional teams to ensure complex arrangements are properly and efficiently implemented.
  • Coordinate with external audit firm during annual audit processes.
  • Other accounting and reporting related projects as needed.


Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • CPA is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in public accounting working with SEC registered companies.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting and ability to apply technical accounting and financial reporting standards.
