Job Description: Senior Accountant focused on supporting corporate accounting and financial reporting. Lime Rock Resources is an E&P company focused primarily on acquiring, operating, and improving onshore properties in the United States. The position reports directly to the General Ledger and Financial Reporting Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Monthly close process coordination including preparation and cross review of DD&A and Impairment calculations, ARO, NPI, Interest and G&A accruals.
Review of cash journal entries, bank reconciliations, derivatives accounting (realized and unrealized/MTM), G&A invoice coding and payroll related journal entries.
Preparation of monthly reporting packages and full set of quarterly financial statements including footnotes.
Coordination with external auditors.
Perform accounting guidance research and drafting memos.
Assist with special projects as needed.
Identify process improvements.
The ability to use critical thinking and logical reasoning to interpret data and research.
Any other duties of a similar or lesser nature as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, major in Accounting preferred
CPA preferred
2-3 years E&P experience preferred
Public accounting background preferred
OGSYS experience a plus, not required
Computer Skills: Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office with strong spreadsheet skills (including but not limited to pivot tables and VLOOKUP formulas). Also, the individual should have a working knowledge of OGSYS or other oil and gas accounting software.
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
