As a Senior Tax Analyst at Vinmar International, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations while optimizing the company's tax position. You will be responsible for analyzing tax data, preparing tax returns, conducting tax research, and assist in providing strategic tax planning advice. The ideal candidate has excellent analytical skills and a strong attention to detail. This role reports to the Tax Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance: Prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, VAT, and other applicable taxes.

Research and Analysis: Conduct tax research, monitor changes in tax legislation, and provide insights and recommendations.

Audit Support: Assist in preparing and supporting tax audits, respond to tax inquiries, and collaborate with auditors and tax authorities as needed.

Tax Reporting: Prepare and analyze tax reports, schedules, and reconciliations for internal and external reporting.

Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with internal controls related to tax processes and assist in implementing improvements.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline tax processes, enhance efficiency, and improve data accuracy.

Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and business units, to address tax-related matters and provide tax guidance.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate tax risks, including potential tax exposures and compliance issues.

Continuing Education: Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards to ensure compliance and provide valuable insights to the organization.

Requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

5+ years of experience in tax compliance, tax planning, or tax advisory roles, preferably in a multinational company or public accounting firm.

Working knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and tax accounting principles.

Experience with Federal and state income tax.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.

Experience with tax software and ERP systems.

High level of integrity and ethical standards.
