Overview:
Job Purpose: Avance care is looking for a motivated, results and process-driven Senior Accountant team member to help us to continue to grow our accounting department. The Senior Accountant will be involved in monthly, quarterly, and yearly consolidation process by performing entity level and regional financial review and analysis, preparation of consolidated adjustments and disclosures, and assist in providing support for auditor review. The Senior Accountant will also serve as an accounting resource on US GAAP financial reporting and accounting matters including implementation of new US GAAP accounting guidance when applicable. This position is in direct track to take over the Accounting Manager role based on performance and merit.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Support monthly, quarterly, and yearly close processes, including review and preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations as well as reporting and analytics for area of responsibility.
Provide technical accounting support (U.S GAAP accounting guidance) to the business unit partners, including research and recommendations on accounting issues, as well as implementation of accounting and policy changes.
Provide support to internal and external audit activities including preparation and review of audit schedules as needed.
Drive process improvements by identifying and executing changes to be more effective and efficient including leveraging data and technology to unlock value.
Other ad hoc requests, such as documentation of key transactions through technical accounting memorandums and other projects to support accounting team or business units.
Support special project work as needed, including identification and execution of continuous improvement projects and activities.
Work on special financial projects.
Perform entity level and regional financial review and analysis in conjunction with consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Accomplishes all tasks as assigned or become necessary delegated by Accounting Manager
Qualifications
Experience, Education and Licensure:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or Business Administration with a concentration in accounting
Certified Public Accountant or in process (have passed at least two sections of the exam)
3-5 years of relevant experience in public accounting
Necessary Skills and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with Advanced Excel skills such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, SUMIF, COUNTIF, IFERROR
Results oriented, ability to thrive in a deadline driven environment
Strong analytical skills and knowledge of the application of US GAAP
Strong organization skills with ability to prioritize
Superior attention to detail
Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment
Experience in NetSuite, Oracle solutions, PowerBI, and analytics is a p
Language Skills:
Ability to communicate well in writing and in person. Ability to read and interpret common medical, billing, and business terminology.
