Overview:
RES is looking for a Regional Finance Analyst to support our FP&A team based out of the Houston, TX office in a hybrid setting.

The mission: RES is growing exponentially year over year, and so does the finance team that supports the operations on a regional and corporate basis. As the Regional Finance Analyst and reporting to the Corporate FP&A Manager, you will be assisting FP&A team members understand regional and corporate business drivers and financial trends, question results, suggest improvements, and ultimately assist them in providing the information and analysis to management.

We are looking for a keen analytical mind, who is never satisfied with the status quo and is always curious about the why of things. Since you will be in constant contact with Project Managers, Operations Managers, Client Solutions Managers, Accounting Managers, and Department Heads who will help you make sense of the numbers, you will need to possess strong relationship-building skills.

What your day-to-day might look like?:
In the role of the Regional Financial Analyst, the primary responsibility is to collaborate closely with the Sr. FP&A Analyst, contributing to the intricate process of processing and analyzing financial data while actively participating in the creation of business forecasts. A key aspect of this position involves the meticulous management and coordination of vital financial metrics, such as revenue, gross profit, expenses, and overall profit and cash flow. In addition, the Regional Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in advising on effective cost-reducing techniques to optimize financial performance.

Another essential facet of the job is the involvement in the preparation of comprehensive financial reports. This includes the careful monitoring of variances, tracking of receivables, and proactive follow-ups on any identified discrepancies. The Regional Financial Analyst is tasked with performing budget and cost analyses, providing insightful reviews, and offering advisory support on the overall financial status of the organization.

In fulfilling these responsibilities, effective communication and collaboration are paramount. The Regional Finance Analyst is expected to maintain a seamless flow of communication and liaison activities with their direct manager, project managers, and fellow analysts.

Qualifications:
We would like to talk to you if you have many of the following:

1 to 3 years of experience as a financial analyst or in a similar role;

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or economics, or any finance related degree;

Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities;

Data analytics and good IT skills - Proficiency in Excel, Power-Point, and analysis applications;

Good interpersonal skills, detail oriented, self-motivated and organized.
