Staff Accountant

This is a full-time on-site role for a Staff Accountant with our client in Bessemer City, NC. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities:

Perform daily accounting tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries

Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies

Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes

Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow

Prepare and submit tax filings and other regulatory reports

Support budgeting and forecasting activities

Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial data

Provide support during audits and implement audit recommendations

Maintain accurate and organized financial records

Qualifications:

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

Strong understanding of financial statements and GAAP

Excellent analytical and organizational skills

Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

3-5 years of experience in manufacturing accounting

Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team
