What you'll do:
We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Lead Accountant- SEC Reporting to join our dynamic team in Carlsbad, CA! This hybrid role offers the unique blend of working collaboratively within our Carlsbad office and the flexibility of remote work.
As a key member of the financial management team, the SEC Reporting Lead will assist with SEC filings of 10-Q, 10-K, 11-K, Annual Reports, Proxy, earnings releases, debt or equity offerings, and other internal reporting. You will leverage your expertise by researching accounting issues and new accounting pronouncements as well as create, modify and implement accounting policies. You will help establish new procedures to improve, automate and reduce closing cycles. You will take ownership of activities including general on-going accounting, reporting and analysis as it relates to primary responsibilities and special assignments.
The day-to-day:
You will review stock compensation valuation and journal entries, assist in the preparation of the statement of cash flow, work on segment reporting, earnings per share, disclosure requirements, participate in internal reporting to executive management, as necessary, etc. You may also coordinate all internal and external (10Q / 10K) quarterly reporting requirements. Review and in some instances perform advanced balance sheet account reconciliations. Review and in some instances prepare balance sheet and income statement variance analysis. Support the Company's debt and equity financing and M&A initiatives, including financial due diligence, research disclosure requirements, support road show and board materials. Develop, maintain and review process documentation supporting key functions. Provide audit and SOX 404 testing support as required.
What you'll need:
5+ years related experience in accounting and/or with SEC filings (10-Q and 10K).
Bachelor's in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Econ or the like.
Good understanding of GAAP, financial statements and accounting theory.
Highly organized, detail oriented and driven individual, who is a fast learner and has propensity to grow within the organization.
Self-directed, self-review skills, outstanding communication skills, analytical skills, works well in a team environment.
U.S. Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Residence is required.
What will help you on the job:
4+ years with a Big 4 public accounting firm.
ERP system (Oracle preferred) and Blackline experience a plus.
Strong excel skills.
Experience with research tools such as Intelligize.
Experience with Equity Edge, Active Disclosure, Workiva, or similar solutions.
Salary range:
$99,500.00 - $(phone number removed) / annually
