Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant/Finance Lead to join our team and contribute to our continued success. As our Senior Accountant/Finance Lead, you will be responsible for supporting the financial activities of the Charleston, SC studios, ensuring compliance with accounting rules and regulations, and providing financial insights to support business decisions. Working with our Finance Manager, Studio Head and their senior team, you will be part of ensuring the profitability of the Charleston operation.
Finance Management:
Hands-on experience in end-to-end accounting activities and book closures.
Complete knowledge of finance activities, like preparation of PL, Balance Sheet, Statutory Requirements as per local regulations, etc.
Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Participate in the development and implementation of internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and maintain secure storage of financial information.
Prepare supporting information for annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
Regularly meet with the Finance Manager to improve processes, turnaround time, etc.
Assist in managing the studio P&L efficiently, providing relevant financial insights and analysis.
MIS and Reporting:
Maintain financial records for Los Angeles/Line of Business to facilitate management reports.
Assist in budget preparation by providing relevant information regularly.
Provide accurate and timely reporting on the financial activity of individual departments.
Requirements
Educational Qualification: Minimum Bachelor's degree, ideally in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional Qualification: CPA/CA or equivalent (preferred).
4 to 6+ years of progressive experience in financial accounting.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
Strong knowledge of MS Office, with excellent Excel skills.
Good communicator with a "Make It Happen" attitude.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
