Overview:
CAES Mission Systems, Eatontown, NJ is seeking a Junior Program Financial Analyst and Accounting Assistant. In this role, you will be a key team member of the Finance and Accounting department responsible for contract accounting for a portfolio of programs and assisting the site Controller with various Accounting-related activities associated with month-end closing. Responsibilities:
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing a portfolio of programs through application of contract accounting

• Supporting site controller with tasking associated with month-end close and general accounting functions

• Cultivating and maintaining cross functional partnership with Program Management, Contracts, Procurement, Operations, and Engineering
• Creating work breakdown structures (WBS), charge numbers, and assigning Task Order Assignments within the ERP system
• Developing time-phased program baselines to track cost and schedule for a portfolio of programs
• Tracking material expenditures from a consolidated bill of material (CBOM) and monitoring production touch labor
• Utilizing data collection and reporting systems to provide weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting to support internal and external customers
• Providing variance analysis and assessing program risks and opportunities
• Forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing key program metrics (Orders, Sales, Gross Margin, Cash) analysis and reporting to senior leadership
• Working collaboratively with program team and senior leadership to generate and present financial metrics on program performance
• Developing and analyzing program estimates at complete (EACs) for Gross Margin adjustments
• Helping to develop standardized Program Finance policies and procedures
• Supporting proposal development, fact finding, audits, and negotiations

Qualifications:
HOW TO SUCCEED

Minimum:Associate's Degree in Business, Accounting, or related field

Minimum 0-2 years' relevant experience

This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license)

Preferred:Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or related field

2+ years' relevant experience

Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively interact with Program Managers and across other functional areas

Independent self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision

Microsoft Office experience with Intermediate Excel (VLOOKUPS, SUMIFS, pivot tables, etc.)

Salary Range: Program Finance Analyst I: $57,697.53 - $83,717.99 annually and Program Finance Analyst II: $74,983.71 - $(phone number removed) annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
