Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Due to significant growth, we are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team at our Corporate Headquarters in King of Prussia, PA. The Senior Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager and works closely with the corporate accounting team and the financial, planning & analysis team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparing and recording journal entries, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, analyzing financial statements, recording cash activity and preparing bank reconciliations, and other special projects assigned.
Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule ensuring compliance with accounting policy and regulatory requirements.
Oversee month-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
Collaborate with the finance department to support financial operations and provide guidance on accounting matters. Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and assess financial performance, identify trends, and provide meaningful insights to management for informed decision-making.
Financial and profitability analysis as needed or requested.
Support annual audit with VP of Finance and Controller.
Assist in the management of group's activities by monitoring and analyzing department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Assist local management teams in weekly & monthly forecasting.
Assist with annual and quarterly budgets, forecasts, and reports, including profits/losses by business unit.
Track data and compile internal reports on assets, liabilities, and expenses.
Other relevant tasks as deemed necessary by the Accounting Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting required
Minimum 5+ years' experience in corporate accounting
Oracle experience preferred
SmartView experience preferred
Public accounting experience a plus
Proficient in finance, accounting, and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP)
Proficient in Microsoft Office and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel including VLOOKUPS, SUMIFS, and Pivot tables
Knowledge of basic cost accounting principles a plus
Financial statement consolidations experience a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate details of financial information
Goal-oriented to flourish in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Ability to work independently and with a team including various levels of management
Be detail-oriented, have a professional attitude, take pride in accuracy of work, and be reliable
Possess strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
