Overview:
POSITION OVERVIEW
Fidelity National Financial (FNF) is seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join the Corporate Income Tax team. The position supports most aspects of the income tax compliance and accounting cycle, including the preparation of federal and state income tax returns, quarterly financial statement tax provisions, and all other tax life-cycle processes by supporting the preparation of other federal and state compliance filing requirements. This role will have a moderate level of direction and guidance.
LOCATION
This is a hybrid position out of our Jacksonville, FL (HQ) office
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparation of Federal & State Income tax returns, extensions and quarterly estimates
Completes a detailed review of quarterly tax estimates calculations, tax return calculations, and federal and state returns
Utilizes various tax and legal research tools to interpret new tax laws and regulations
Ensures compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations and stays up to date on changes in tax laws
Maintains detailed and accurate records of all tax-related documents and transactions
Preparation of tax provisions applying ASC 740
Ability to identify issues and propose solutions
Prepares general tax research memorandums
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (or related financial field)
Requires 2+ years of experience in public accounting or corporate income tax
Experience with corporate income tax returns
Advanced skills in MS Excel
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
CPA license or other related certification(s)
Previous experience with income tax technology software (e.g., Corptax, OneSource)
Experience with Macros and/or Power Query
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Strong organizational and project management skills
Excellent communication skills
