We are seeking a Cost Accountant to join our team at CorDx. This role will be pivotal in managing and overseeing the cost accounting activities of the company, ensuring that all inventory and cost of goods sold costs are tracked, analyzed, and reported accurately. This role involves collaborating with various departments to help optimize costs, improve profitability, and assist in budget planning and financial forecasting.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and values in accordance with company policies and generally accepted accounting principles ("GAAP").
Administer an enterprise-wide standard costing methodology
Account for the company's cost of goods sold with a focus on inventory on hand, inventory reserves, sensitive inventory movements, and associated inventory variances.
Maintain cost accounting procedures and controls for process costs such as labor, manufacturing, material handling/storage, administration
Prepare inventory reports for management, including valuation, potential obsolescence, variance analysis, and cost of goods sold.
Ensure accuracy of inventory numbers through regular audits and reconciliations.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing.
Coordinate with external auditors during audit.
Develop and refine inventory accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance with changing financial regulations and standards.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
5 years of experience with public company manufacturing costing systems.
Advanced knowledge of ERP software, NetSuite is a plus.
Advanced knowledge and use of Excel.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
Assess business processes, research related costs, and calculate cost to manufacture.
Excellent communication skills.
Bilingual Mandarin Required.
