Our client, a reputable non-profit organization in Staten Island with an admirable mission, is looking for a Senior Accountant. This is a temp to perm role, and the successful candidate must be immediately available to start a new role.

Client Details

Well known non-profit organization based in Staten Island. This role offers remote flexibility and potential for FTE within 6 months.

Description
  • Prepares program budget and modifications.
  • Remits programs fiscal claims monthly/quarterly for payment.
  • Monitors program expenditures to ascertain with budget parameters
  • Monitors grants' balance and transfer funding dollars
  • Prepares and transmits bank transfers, stop payments and ach direct deposits, taxed -deferred annuity, pension loan payments and calendar year-end pension payments
  • Maintains worksheets for allocation of expenses for monthly journal entries and Fund EZ accounts payable shared cost allocation
  • Prepares accounts analysis and assists with all audits
  • Prepares Fiscal Board Reports/Financial Statements

Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and 5+ years of senior level accounting experience required.
  • Computer proficiency and knowledge of Fund EZ.
  • Must possess good communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office
