Our Accounting is looking for an experienced Tax Director to join our amazing new team!
The Tax Director will play a crucial role in managing the tax services department, ensuring
compliance with tax regulations, and developing strategic tax planning initiatives for our clients.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of tax-free strategies, particularly in the
context of investments and entrepreneurial ventures, and will be adept at navigating the
complexities of self-directed IRAs and ROBS structures. The position requires excellent
analytical skills, strong leadership abilities, and a proactive approach to managing tax-related
matters to support the financial goals of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the tax department
Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals and businesses
Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes
Identify and mitigate tax risks for clients, communicating clear tax strategies
Coordinate tax accounting staff and assess their performance
Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices
Manage and coordinate tax audits, providing expertise for the process
Prepare all tax papers and handle all information data requests
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
Provide support with various internal audits and special tax-related projects
Manage tax team members, ensuring proper training and information is available
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar certification
Minimum of 5 years experience in a tax manager or public accountant role
Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance, and procedures for corporations
Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local reporting requirements
Experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements
Strong leadership and personnel management skills
Analytical skills with detail orientation
Strong written and oral communication skills
