Position Description:
As a Senior Accountant - Cost Accounting, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing process for the costing and inventory modules and ensure accuracy of various system and manually generated transactions/entries.

Prepare and review various inventory and cost accounting entries and account reconciliations.

Provide fluctuation analysis explanations for various components of worldwide gross margins for both domestic operations and foreign subsidiaries.

Review manufacturing variances and work with operations teams to reduce these variances.

Provide accurate and timely inventory and costing reports (Gross Margin, Standard Cost Change, Manufacturing Variance, Manufacturing Variance Trend, Overhead Absorption Details, Overhead Absorption Report, Labor Utilization Report, Cycle Count Report, WIP Report, etc.) to the operations teams in order to support the company's continuous improvement approach.

Analyze standard costs and review the standard cost roll-ups for new products and new production operations and investigate/resolve large variances prior to finalization of rolling standards.

Maintain and update standard cost for new and existing products.

Understand and apply overhead pools for different products and cost centers based on applicable cost driver (direct labor hours, machine hours, etc.).

Work with operations teams to analyze inventory for potential excess and obsolete reserves and make related entries in accordance with the company's policies.
Perform inventory cycle count and work-in-progress audits.

Interact with internal auditors and provide various analysis and audit schedules and work to ensure compliance with all internal control procedures.

Provide external audit support and assist with the year-end physical inventory observation.

Assist with special projects and ad-hoc requests, as necessary.

Provide ongoing performance monitoring through the creation of annual reviews.

Position Requirements:
This position requires the following skills and attributes:

Minimum five years of experience using a "standard cost" model in a manufacturing industry.

Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing variances, overhead absorption, and standard costs.

Detailed experience with inventory and COGS accounts reconciliations and related accounting.

Experience with month-end closing and working in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with inventory cycle count process.

Benefits:
