Job Description:
Dewberry, a growing A&E service company, is looking for a Project Accountant II to join its Corporate Accounting team in Bloomfield, NJ.

Responsibilities:
Review contracts and set up projects: Analyze project contracts and establish project accounts based on project type (CPFF, T&M, Lump Sum, etc.).
Set up billing rate tables: Create and maintain tables for various billing rates used in project invoices.
Generate invoices and support billing submittal: Prepare invoices, gather supporting documentation, and submit them through online client portals.
Process transfers: Manage transfers of labor and other direct costs between projects.
Review and process credit memos: Analyze and process credit memos issued by vendors.
Perform project closeout: Finalize project accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Assist Accounts Receivable team: Resolve cash receipt issues and identify any unidentified cash receipts.
Required Skills & Required Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience in dealing with Federal and Commercial contracts, including billing experience with Lumpsum, Time & Material, Cost Plus Fixed Fee, and Units billing basis.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as JD Edwards and DELTEK VantagePoint.
Strong attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to travel to local offices.
