The Department of Accounting in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business invites applications for a lecturer-track faculty position in accounting to begin in August 2025.  The specialization of immediate need is in taxation. However, teaching may also include courses in accounting principles and Elon’s Core Curriculum.

Required Qualifications:

  • An earned master's degree in accounting from an AACSB-accredited university.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or Certified Management Accountant (CMA designation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of professional accounting experience in tax preparation, OR 3-year teaching accounting courses at an AACSB-accredited institution;
  • Proficiency using tax preparation software

In addition to teaching, candidates must be willing to provide service to the department, business school, university, and accounting profession.

Anticipated Start Date: August 2025. Final candidates will be invited to campus to demonstrate effective teaching.

About the School: The AACSB-accredited Martha and Spencer Love School of Business has emerged from a time of dramatic growth to become a leader in business education.
