CHE Behavioral Health is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and be proficient in accounting practices, with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Since 1995, CHE has provided superior services in 800+ facilities across 10 states, specializing in adult and geriatric care in rehabilitation and skilled nursing facilities.

Responsibilities:
Perform monthly bank reconciliations for 20+ accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Conduct general ledger reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain accurate financial data.

Support month-end closing activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and trend analysis to keep the general ledger updated.

Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, while monitoring key financial trends.

Process bi-monthly expense reimbursements for payroll submission.

Generate ad-hoc financial reports as needed by management.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integrity of financial data.

Assist external auditors with required documentation during annual audits.

Stay up-to-date on general accounting practices and standards.

Compensation $60,000 - $70,000 annually based on experience.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

4+ years of experience in general accounting roles.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience with Sage Intacct.

Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Multi-agency experience is a plus.
