Job Ad Title: Assistant Professor (Teaching)/Lecturer in Accounting - Specialized in Taxation

The School of Management and Economics (SME) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen) is seeking application for Assistant Professor (Teaching)/Lecturer in Accounting - Specialized in Taxation starting in Fall of 2025. The non-tenure-tracked Assistant Professor (Teaching)/Lecturer are not subject to research evaluation but is required to deliver high quality teaching at all levels. The hired candidates are expected to do high quality teaching in accounting areas.

JOB QUALIFICATION: Successful candidate must possess one of the following qualifications:

-Doctoral degree in Accounting, Law, or Taxation OR

-Postgraduate qualification, such as a Master's degree, in a relevant field with significant demonstrable experience (normally 8 years +) in taxation and tax planning field preferably in China (including Hong Kong SAR environment).

Fluent proficiency in English, both written and spoken. And the candidate must have the ability to teach Undergraduate and Postgraduate level Taxation and Tax Planning courses in Full English.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Assistant Professor (Teaching)/Lecturer will provide high quality teaching in Taxation in China (including Hong Kong SAR environment) and Tax Planning courses to Undergraduate and Postgraduate student.

SALARY AND TERMS OF SERVICE: Salary will be competitive, commensurate with experience and academic accomplishments. Appointments will be made under the establishment of CUHK-Shenzhen and statutory benefits will be provided according to the prevailing labor laws applicable to the PRC. The appointee will be based in Shenzhen, PRC.
