Oxford Solutions is assisting a corporate client in their search for a Staff Accountant. This role is ideal for someone with 2 to 3 years of accounting experience, looking to expand their skills in a corporate setting. You will be responsible for performing general accounting duties, maintaining and updating reports for monthly and quarterly reporting, and collaborating with the FP&A team on budget-related tasks. Training will be provided on internal processes, making this a great opportunity to grow within a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
Perform general accounting tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Maintain and update reports for monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Work with the FP&A team on annual budget preparation.
Prepare and analyze monthly budget variance reports.
Ensure compliance with US GAAP and company accounting policies.
Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.
Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
2 to 3 years of accounting experience.
Strong understanding of US GAAP.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
