Position Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic, self-starting and detailed oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing team. The Senior Accountant will primarily be supporting the general accounting processes over the management company and related entities. Successful candidates should possess excellent analytical skills and a solution-based attitude with minimal oversight with a thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
Responsibilities:
Support month-end close activities including but not limited to preparing general ledger entries, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset schedules, prepaid expense and accruals and P&L variance analysis
Perform monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting procedures, which includes assisting with monthly regulatory filings
Oversee international subsidiary month-end close process
Work with external service providers on monthly deliverables
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Coordinate and assist with state and local tax filing requirements
Assist with internal and external audits
Provide support for ad-hoc analysis and projects as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher - Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
Asset management industry experience, management co. preferred
5+ years of relevant work experience including month-end close process
Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy
Experience with automated financial systems - Sage Intacct and FloQast preferred
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP including revenue recognition principles (ASC 606)
Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Able to multi-task and work to internal and external deadlines
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
Capability to work in a fast-paced & growing company
Strong computer desktop skills required. Advanced skills in MS Excel desirable
The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $(phone number removed). Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
