Overview:

The Accounting Department in the UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS School of Business seeks applicants for tenure track or tenured positions beginning August 2025. Positions are available at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor levels. All areas in the field of accounting will be considered, but preference will be given to full professors with research and teaching interest in tax. Candidates with a demonstrated ability to mentor doctoral students are especially encouraged to apply.

 

Qualifications:

Candidates for a tenured position should have a Ph.D. in accounting, an established record of achievement in teaching and research to warrant such an appointment, evidence of an on-going, high quality research program, and the experience, interest, and ability to work with doctoral students. Candidates for a tenure-track position should have evidence of high-quality research and teaching accomplishment and/or potential. A Ph.D. in accounting must be completed by the appointment date.

The Accounting program offers degrees at the Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral levels. The Accounting program is separately accredited by the AACSB.
